What grade stainless steel roller chains do you offer?

Update Time:2026/2/28
We offer stainless steel roller chains in several material grades to meet different operating requirements, primarily including AISI 304 and AISI 316.
Commonly, SS304 stainless steel roller chains provide good corrosion resistance for general industrial and food processing environments. SS316 stainless steel roller chains are available for more demanding applications such as marine, coastal, or chemical exposure, and offer enhanced resistance to chloride corrosion.

Material certificates can be provided upon request. Other material grades or mixed-material constructions can also be customized according to technical requirements.
Difference Between 304 and 316 stainless steel chains
The main difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel roller chains is the corrosion resistance performance.

AISI 316 contains molybdenum, which significantly improves resistance to saltwater and aggressive chemicals. Roller chain material selection should be based on the operating environment and expected service life.
What sizes are available for stainless steel roller chains?
We supply stainless steel roller chains in both ANSI and DIN/ISO standards, including common sizes such as:

ANSI 40SS, 50SS, 60SS, 80SS
Both simplex and multiple-strand configurations are available. Custom sizes, attachments, and special lengths can be manufactured upon request.
Are your stainless steel chains suitable for food processing applications?
Yes. Stainless steel roller chains are widely used in food processing, packaging, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries due to their corrosion resistance and clean surface properties.

AISI 304 chains are typically sufficient for most indoor food production environments. For high-humidity or washdown conditions, AISI 316 is often recommended.

Chains can be supplied with smooth finishes suitable for cleaning processes. Material documentation can be provided when required.
What is the working temperature range of stainless steel roller chains?
Stainless steel roller chains can generally operate in temperature ranges from approximately -20°C to 400°C, depending on the material grade and lubrication conditions.

At elevated temperatures, lubrication becomes a critical factor affecting service life. For high-temperature applications, special lubricants or dry-running solutions may be required.
If you are unsure which stainless steel chain grade is suitable for your application, our technical team can provide selection support based on your working environment and load conditions.
