What is BS chain?
British Standard roller chains adhere to European standards such as ISO 606 B, BS 228, and DIN 8187. While they share similarities with ANSI roller chains, they have distinct dimensions and typically require British Standard sprockets for optimal compatibility and performance.
What is the strength of the 06B chain?
With an ultra-high tensile strength of 2,354 LBS and through-hardened components, this is the best quality metric roller chain on the market.
What is the difference between ANSI and BS chain?
The ANSI series chain is sized in eighths of an inch, with only the numerator shown. For instance, "4" denotes 4/8", which simplifies to ½" chain and is stamped as "40". Conversely, the BS series chain is sized in sixteenths of an inch. For example, "8/16" is simplified to ½", and the chain is stamped as "08B
