What Is a QD Bushing?
A QD bushing, short for quick-disconnect bushing, is a split flanged bushing that mounts a sprocket, sheave or pulley onto a shaft and comes off again in minutes. You do not pull the hub off the shaft: you remove the cap screws, thread them into the removal holes in the flange, and the bushing backs itself out of the hub.
That is why QD bushings are the practical choice wherever components are changed on a maintenance schedule, or where a drive has to come apart in the field rather than in a workshop.

Sizes that are not on the shelf are machined to your drawing, sample or shaft dimensions. Custom work starts at 50 pcs per size, and trial orders can be discussed.

How a QD Bushing Mounts
- Slide the bushing onto the shaft and align the keyway, then position the assembly where the drive needs it.
- Locate the hub on the bushing so the cap screw holes line up with the threaded holes in the flange.
- Tighten the cap screws to the torque listed for that type. To remove, move the same screws into the removal holes and the bushing releases the hub.

Custom QD Bushing
Send a drawing, a sample, or the shaft dimensions and we will quote a bushing that fits the application. Custom work we handle regularly:

Interchangeable with Dodge, Martin and Browning QD Hubs
CTS QD bushings are dimensionally interchangeable with the Dodge, Martin and Browning QD hubs in common use, so a CTS bushing fits an existing QD hub without modification.
