About ANSI #50 K1 Attachment Roller Chains

CTS® #50 K1 Attachment Roller Chain

ANSI #50 K1 attachment roller chain is a standard #50 chain (15.875 mm / 5/8" pitch) with a bent K1 tab on one side of the link. The tab is folded 90° to the chain plate and drilled with a single 5.5 mm hole, giving you a raised, offset mounting point for flights, scrapers, dogs, brackets, or sensing flags. The bent design keeps mounted parts clear of the chain plates, rollers, and sprocket teeth, so it is a common choice on packaging conveyors, agricultural machinery, and automatic assembly lines.

FAQs

What is the difference between A1, SA1, K1, and SK1 attachments?

Two things differ: bent vs straight, and one side vs both sides.

A1 and K1 are bent tabs (mounting face raised and offset from the chain); SA1 and SK1 are straight tabs (mounting face flush with the link plates, low profile).

A1 and SA1 have the tab on one side only; K1 and SK1 have tabs on both sides. So A1 = bent one-side, SA1 = straight one-side, K1 = bent both-sides, SK1 = straight both-sides. The number (1) means a single hole in each tab.

Which attachment should I choose?

Choose SA1/SK1 straight tabs for a compact, flat mounting surface, or A1/K1 bent tabs when extra clearance is needed. Choose A1/SA1 for one-side mounting and K1/SK1 for both-side mounting.
